EBOS
At Ostend Airport, Belgocontrol is responsible for the air traffic control at and around the airport, as well as for an important part of the Belgian coast (EBOS TMA) in co-ordination with the military base at Koksijde. Belgocontrol also provides meteo services to the pilots. Ostend Airport registers more than 68,000 movements in 2006, consisting mainly of freight and pleasure aircraft.
A division of the Belgocontrol Engineering Department is responsible for the installation and maintenance of the equipment, such as radar, navigation aids and communication systems.
