Key Account Manager

The function
 

As our Key Account Manager you will be responsible for a customer-oriented service provision by developing, maintaining and managing the customer relations in your portfolio.  You will be reporting to and working together with our Head of Customer Affairs. The job consists of the following aspects, among other things:

You develop and maintain privileged relations with the customers in your own portfolio with the aim to establish long-term partnerships. That means, among other things, that you:

  • act as point of contact for our customers on all matters related to Belgocontrol's service provision;
  • gain insight in the needs of our customers through meetings, visits and calls;
  • maintain contact with the relevant technical services of Belgocontrol in order to improve processes and to gain insight into our customers' business and needs;
  • keep informed of the latest innovative trends that may impact our customers and share that information with them;
  • coordinate the identification of common objectives and commit to achieving them together with the customers, so that win-win situations are created;
  • negotiate and contractualize cooperation agreements;
  • collect and consolidate customer feedback on the services provided by Belgocontrol;
  • formulate proposals for optimizing the Account Management Process.

 

You act as a link between the customers in your own portfolio and the various Belgocontrol services. That means, among other things, that you:

  • manage the key account master data and ensure the data is accurate and complete in collaboration with the various Belgocontrol services;
  • develop and update the supporting documents the customers have at disposal (e.g. FAQ);
  • compile and answer problems and questions that were logged by other DGs;
  • monitor the projects' statuses for customers and proactively manage possible problems (e.g. missed milestones, unpaid invoices,...);
  • formulate agenda items and prepare business review meetings with the customers;
  • make sure customer feedback is used to help determining the strategic orientation and communication;
  • convey the importance of an outstanding customer service throughout Belgocontrol with the aim of promoting the further development of a customer-oriented attitude;
  • coach and guide staff members in their contacts with customers.

 

Your profile
 
  • you have proven work experience as a Key Account Manager with emphasis on farming in the service sector;
  • you hold a Master's or a Bachelor's degree, preferably with a commercial, technical or economical background;
  • you have good commercial reflexes: communication, a listening ear, negotiation and presentation skills;
  • you are always on the lookout for opportunities and you have good organizational skills;
  • thanks to your highly developed interpersonal skills you are able to work together easily with teams  from various departments;
  • you have an analytical mind, you are dynamic and assertive;
  • you respect deadlines and you like to work accurately and in complete confidentiality;
  • you are fluent in English, Dutch and French.
